Architectural Design 2 - Hybrid

Prerequisites for this class are Technical Drawing and Architecture Design 1

Level 1 Review

Going over all of the information from level 1 that they need for level 2! This includes basic architecture and CAD

 

 

Energy Study

Each student will pick a green energy we learned about, and figure out how to incorporate it into a home/building

Intro to Revit

Basics of the program Revit! Go through all possible tools and features they need for their final project!

ADA Adaptations

Go over ADA Laws and adaptations that the students need to incorporate in their final project

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Final Projects & Presentations

Each student will use all skill learned through the class and apply them into a final project creation and presentation! Students need to pick a hemisphere, type and an ADA/Green Energy Adaptation to adapt into their work!

Basics, Types and how different types of green energy function in architecture

Theming in Arch

Basics of theming in design in architecture, focus on outdoor areas/theme parks

Technical Drawing - Hybrid Semester

Part 1 - Hand Drafting

1D Views

Learning basics, skills, tools of Hand Drafting! Also applying them to do combined basic shapes!

Orthographic Projections

Learning basics of what Orthographic Projections are, and how to draw them

Isometric Drawings

Learning basics of what Isometric Drawings are, and how to draw them

Part 2 - CAD - using AutoCAD

Intro and Basics

Learning basics of AutoCAD

 

 

Isometric Drawings

Reviewing Isometric Drawings, and how to Model them

Dimensioning 

Basics of dimensioning through both hand drafting and CAD​

Section Views

Learning basics of what Section Views are, and how to model them

"Bug" Project & Presentation

Only Full Credit Class

Students will take all information from the class and apply the engineering design process by picking an object that "bugs" them in design/functionality! Students will then draw the original object, and then the newly adjusted object they designed! 

Orthographic Projections

Reviewing Orthographic Projections, and how to Model them

Dimensions & Paper Space

Learning basics of dimensioning and how to place projects in Paper Space!
