Tough to be a Bug &
Adventures Outpost with Mickey and Minnie
My Fall Disney College Program (DCP) ran from August 13th
through January 3rd. In Animal Kingdom I worked attractions on
Discovery Island which included 2 main attractions, Tough to be a
Bug and the Meet and Greet with Mickey and Minnie when they
traveled to Animal Kingdom, Adventures Outpost.
At Tough to be a Bug we rotated through 7-15 different positions
between my shift, all included working with guest, answering
questions and problem solving. spieling was also a portion of my job, and had to get the audiences of 428 attendees into the theatre within the allotted time to keep our 8.5 minute show running efficiently.
At Adventures Outpost we rotated through 2-4 different positions between my shift, either merging the fastpass and stand by lines together and filling the room for Mickey and Minnie, or assisting guests before they get in line. These questions rang from where guests can find attractions, characters or food in the
park, information about Adventures Outpost or emergency information about lost children or medical attention.
