ACMO Exec

While on ACMO's Exec Board for 3 years I worked with 8 other individuals to produce 1 main stage show, 1 fall show case, 2 philanthropy benefit concerts, other small performance opportunities and activities/events for our membership to be involved in.

As Treasure I worked with the directors of the productions to form a budget. I then took the budgets and wrote proposals to present to Student Senate and made a case for our productions to receive funding. Once the shows were in process I worked with the Production Staffs to help them track their budgets. I also assisted them in getting refunded for their purchases, and organized and purchased advertisements for the productions.

As Production Manager I worked directly worked with the

production staffs for each show to make sure everyone knew what

their jobs entailed and helped train people for positions where needed. In this position I also scheduled their rehearsals and the rehearsal spaces, and filled in for any positions that were not able to be filled.

What Is ACMO?

ACMO is a student run organization on Campus whose main goal was to allow students of any talent level that were interested in musicals and theatre in general to come together and preform. We were made up of students from all areas of studies, both on our Executive Board and of our General Membership.

Through my 4 years of work, I worked on a total of 15 shows, I worked with casts as small as 15 to as big as 40; pits of 1 or 2 people to as big as 21. ACMO gave me the opportunity to collaborate and lead my peers towards a common goal and produce show that were fully produced, teched, cast and managed which is a unique opportunity most university students do not receive.

As part of ACMO I participated in the KCACTF (Kennedy Center American Collegiate Theatre Festival) Region 2 conference my sophomore through senior year.

During my sophomore year, Millersville's University Theatre brought one of their productions that I filled in as one of the Assistant Stage Managers.

Junior and senior year I participated in the Design, Technology and Management (DTM) presentations, presenting my Stage Management of ACMO's The Wedding Singer junior year, and my Production Management

and Technical Direction of Heathers the Musical senior year.

Senior year I was the Regional Winner of the Allied Design Category and traveled to the USITT National Conference to represent Region 2 and compete against the other 8 regions as we all present our work. I also was awarded a scholarship to the Stagecraft Institute of Las Vegas (SILV) for a week long class of my choice. I attended SILV Week 5: Tech Management and was able to hone my skills and network with other students from around the nation and professionals in the management area.
